Local Action Group (LAG) “Balvi district partnership”

LAG are the mainstay of the implementation of the LEADER approach.
Responsibilities include the:

• development of local strategies,
• supporting stakeholder networking,
• the appraisal and approval of individual LEADER projects.

"Balvi District partnership" is situated in the Latgale region of the Latvia, in the country's east next to the border with Russia and uniting 4 counties: Balvi (13 860), Baltinava (1148), Rugaji (2350) and Vilaka (5557), including 2 cities: Balvi and Vilaka.
